Art Week

The culmination of a successful Art Week at Agincourt School was a two day Art Exhibition which showcased the individual talents of the children.

The children each produced a piece of work on a particular theme. The Reception Year group worked on animal batik paintings. These simple designs on material using bright colour dyes made striking pictures. The Year One children painted, with the aid of mirrors, watercolour portraits of themselves. These fantastic paintings were easily recognisable. Vibrant colours were used by Year Two pupils to create designs in the style of aboriginal paintings.

During the Art Week various workshops ran at school. These included an amazing felt work shop with Reception working with merino wool  to produce individual felt pictures. Reception children also benefited from a drama workshop run by the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham.

Fantasy masks were made by another group of children and an aboriginal art workshop reinforced the work undertaken by Year Two.

Parents and visitors to the school were thrilled to see the Art Work and the consensus was for the school to make it an annual event.
