Celebrations

Harvest Time

Pupils held their Harvest Service at St Peter’s Church, Dixton.

The children, aged between 3 and 7, sang beautifully in the Harvest Service.  The generous harvest gifts donated by the children were then given to Bridges Community Centre for distribution to senior citizens in Monmouth.

 St. David's Day Celebrations

‘Dewi the Dragon from St David’s Hospice helped celebrate St David’s Day at Agincourt School.  The special St David’s Day Assembly was enjoyed by parents as the children performed Welsh dances and sang a selection of Welsh songs.  Everyone at school dressed in red, Welsh costume, or even dragon outfits.  Any kind donations from the day will be sent to St David’s Hospice.’

 Easter

There is a traditional service in the near-by church for the whole school followed by fun and games with an Easter egg hunt or egg rolling competitions.

Leavers' Service

At the end of the year our leavers in Year Two lead a church service where they sing and recite poetry for the rest of the school. This tearful goodbye followed by a whole school barberque marks their last day at Agincourt School.
