Purple Pinkie Event

Agincourt School supported Purple Week, organised by Monmouth Rotary Club, by holding a Purple Pinkie event.

An informative talk was given on how polio affects children in other countries. Children being vaccinated in places such as India, Pakistan and Nigeria have a finger painted purple to ensure they are not vaccinated more than once. The children at Agincourt paid £1 and also had their little finger painted purple. This £1 ensures that five children can be immunised against polio. The children raised £300.
