Break

Second session: Maths

Third session: Variety of other subjects e.g. Science, History

Assembly

Each day, with the exception of Friday, assembly takes place  in the hall. Stories with a moral theme are read and discussed. On a Thursday morning we have a special assembly, in which we celebrate the children’s achievements. Swimming certificates or any certificates / awards they may have gained outside school will also be presented during this assembly.

During the school year parents will be invited to attend a special class assembly which is performed by the children. It is an opportunity for the children to appear in front of an audience and enjoy the experience. Following the assembly, parents are invited to stay for coffee with the teacher in the hall.

The Christmas concert, in which all children take part, is a much awaited finale to the Autumn term. This concert takes place at one of the senior schools; The Blake Theatre at Monmouth School or the Main Hall at H.M.S.G.

The main basis of our worship is Christian, but we include stories from other religions.
